About HBS Rugby

Founded in 1963, the Harvard Business School Rugby Football Club is the world's preeminent graduate school rugby club and, by universal agreement amongst its members, the best activity anyone can undertake over the two years (or more) in Cambridge. A key benefit of going to business school is acquiring a network. There are no closer friends than those forged in battle on the rugby pitch against the likes of Wharton!  HBS Rugby also welcomes players from other Harvard graduate schools.

Don't take our word for it...read more about the club's founding and history here!

The HBS Old Boys were founded as a select side to compete in a 1978 Easter tournament in Freeport, Bahamas, and have been touring the globe to propagate their distinctive brand of "rugby diplomacy" ever since.  Now over 1,000 strong, the Old Boys are active, social, and in contact (on and off the pitch) for the rest of their lives.  HBS Rugby tours are unique experiences, and players as far back as the founding of the club still participate and bring their families as part of the touring party. The unique bond between alumni and their families continues to grow across graduating classes and generations.
